The Castle of Crossed Ambitions is a modular, 44 room dungeon level designed for HIS MAJESTY THE WORM, a tarot based tabletop role play game by Josh McCrowell. Connect its pathways to other levels of your mega-dungeon so you don't have to do so much work!

Before it was pulled into the mythic Underworld, the castle of house Greatclay was a marvel. Its lords were welcoming and courteous, hosting parties and exchanging gifts with guests from all over the Wide World. Their servants knew no fear under the shadow of their animate colossus. And, while the castletown and battlements were humble and unassuming, inside the keep the Greatclay’s kept a wealth of wondrous art.
But, those days are gone. Now the castle is a subterranean madhouse where devils of the Waste have come to roost. The place has been desecrated, its colossus debased with vulgar graffiti. In the ruinous squalor of the castle’s village, the descendants of the Greatclay’s servants still eke out a hollow existence, cursed to tend the grounds in the name of their infernal masters. Inside the castle empty suits of armor attack intruders, unassuming doorways hide deadly traps, and all the while deep in the keep’s heart the succubus Lilith sleeps…
The recent rediscovery of the castle has sparked imaginations across the City. What happened to the Greatclays? Can the evil found inside the castle be exorcized? What secret breathes life into their inanimate guardians? Adventurers of every kith and kin cannot reach consensus, but they do agree about one thing. The great wealth and power of house Greatclay still lies in the castle; it need only be recovered from HIS MAJESTY THE WORM.
